Camp Fire USA Balcones Council provides many life-enriching experiences to adult volunteers.  Many rewarding volunteer and internship opportunities are available.  Men and women of all ages and interests are welcome.

Becoming involved with Today's kids and Tomorrow's leaders is a privilege.  You can make a difference in a child's life by donating your time, talent and energy.  Our mission is to build caring, confident youth and future leaders.  Our volunteers breathe life into the Camp Fire USA slogan, “Give Service”.

We always need help updating our databases. Volunteers will work with Balcones Council’s Office Coordinator and we will provide training.

Newsletter Volunteer

We need volunteers to write, produce and mail out our monthly members’ newsletter, Smoke Signals.

Office Support

Volunteers can come in a few hours a week and help file, update information in databases, get letters ready to mail, and make copies and other general office activities.

General All-around Help

This may be the most un-glamorous volunteer job, but will be an incredible help to Balcones Council. We need help to organize our physical space.

Risk Management

The volunteer/intern will work with a committee of community volunteers, coordinated by the Council’s Outdoor Program Coordinator, to identify areas of risk and appropriate safety measures, and will help produce a Risk Management Policies and Procedures Manual for the Council.
