for Horizon Retreat
The Horizon Retreat is a time for older
youth from Balcones and surrounding councils to socialize and learn
about giving service in their communities. Part of the weekend
is dedicated to promoting and discussing how to earn the WoHeLo Award.
WoHeLo Legacy will be recruiting speakers on various topics and
organizing the event.
Horizon Retreat will be held from 7pm on Friday,
September 16th to 5pm on Saturday the 17th. The event will be a
lock-in, with WoHeLo Legacy running activities and leading discussions
about being an older youth in Camp Fire and giving service.
Community organizations will give presentations about how to get
involved. The youth will also lead a small service project during
the retreat. If you have any questions,
please email Anna Wagner. This is a great time to meet and interact with
motivated youth. They would love to hear about your experiences in
Camp Fire. Also, if you would like to
mentor a youth, this is a great place to start. |
